How to Play 2048
- Use the arrow keys (or swipe on mobile) to slide all tiles in one direction.
- When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one tile with double the value.
- After every move a new tile (2 or 4) appears on a random empty cell.
- Reach the 2048 tile to win — or keep going for a higher score.
- The game ends when the board is full and no merges are possible.
Tips & Strategy
- Keep your highest tile locked in a corner and build toward it.
- Avoid pressing the direction that pulls your big tiles out of the corner.
- Work in two directions (e.g. down and left) as much as possible to keep the board ordered.
