The Wither is a powerful player-summoned boss that requires 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls to create — making preparation as difficult as the fight itself. It is the only source of Nether Stars, which are required to craft Beacons. The Wither's ability to destroy most blocks and attack multiple targets makes it one of the most destructive forces in the game.

Player-summoned only; constructed by placing 4 Soul Sand or Soul Soil in a T-shape and placing 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls on top; can be built in any dimension
Behavior
On spawn, charges up for 11 seconds (invulnerable) then creates a massive explosion. Fires Wither Skulls (blue skulls destroy blue-resistant blocks; black skulls destroy standard blast-resistant blocks) at multiple targets simultaneously. At 50% health in Java Edition, activates a shield that makes it immune to projectiles. Must be finished with melee or potions at low health. Destroys terrain extensively.
