How to Make a Potion of Poison
Damages the player or enemy over time but cannot kill. Useful against mobs and in PvP as a Splash Potion to soften targets. Spider Eyes are dropped by Spiders and Witches. The extended version (2:00) maximises total damage output.
Effect
Deals 1 HP every 1.25 seconds (Poison I) or every 0.6 seconds (Poison II). Cannot kill — stops at 1 HP.

Upgrades
Redstone → extended to 2:00. Glowstone → Poison II lasting 0:22 (faster tick rate). Cannot combine both. Fermented Spider Eye corrupts it into Harming.
Brewing steps
- Fill a glass bottle.
- Brew with Nether Wart → Awkward Potion.
- Brew with Spider Eye → Potion of Poison. Optional: Redstone for 2:00 or Glowstone for Poison II (0:22). Add Gunpowder for Splash; Dragon's Breath to Splash for Lingering.
