A corruption potion made by adding Fermented Spider Eye to Swiftness or Leaping. Primarily useful as a thrown Splash Potion to slow mobs or players. Slowness IV is an extreme debuff useful in traps.
Effect
Reduces movement speed by 15% (Slowness I) or 60% (Slowness IV). Typically used as a Splash Potion against enemies.

Upgrades
Redstone → extended to 4:00. Glowstone → Slowness IV (60% speed reduction) lasting 0:20. Cannot combine both.
Brewing steps
- Fill a glass bottle.
- Brew with Nether Wart → Awkward Potion.
- Brew with Sugar → Potion of Swiftness.
- Brew with Fermented Spider Eye → Potion of Slowness. Optional: Redstone for 4:00 or Glowstone for Slowness IV (0:20). Add Gunpowder for Splash (recommended primary use); Dragon's Breath to Splash for Lingering.
