How to Make a Potion of Weakness
Unique because it requires no Nether Wart — just add a Fermented Spider Eye to a Water Bottle. Primarily used as a Splash Potion to weaken enemies. Also required to cure Zombie Villagers (Splash Potion of Weakness + Golden Apple).
Effect
Reduces melee damage dealt by 4 HP (2 hearts) per hit for the duration.

Upgrades
Redstone → extended to 4:00. No Level II variant. Glowstone has no additional effect. The only potion that can be brewed directly from a Water Bottle without Nether Wart.
Brewing steps
- Fill a glass bottle from water.
- Place Water Bottle directly in the brewing stand (no Awkward Potion needed).
- Add Fermented Spider Eye to the top slot → brews Potion of Weakness. Optional: Redstone for 4:
- Add Gunpowder for Splash (key use: curing zombie villagers); Dragon's Breath to Splash for Lingering.
