Ghastling

Ghastlings are baby happy ghasts introduced in Java Edition 1.21.6, born from hydrated Dried Ghast blocks recovered from the Soul Sand Valley. They are entirely docile and represent the early stage of taming a Happy Ghast mount. Unlike hostile Ghasts, Ghastlings are peaceful companions that can be nurtured with snowballs to speed their maturation.

Behavior
Passive baby mob that floats gently and follows nearby players. Does not attack. Idles within 32 blocks of its home spawn point. Can be fed Snowballs to accelerate its growth into a Happy Ghast. Grows into a Happy Ghast naturally after approximately 20 minutes.
