Slimes are bouncy cube-shaped mobs that split into progressively smaller versions when killed. Only the smallest size actually deals damage, though large slimes can still push players. Slimeballs are a valuable crafting ingredient for pistons, leads, and sticky pistons.

Slime chunks below Y=40 at any light level; swamp biomes at night between Y=50–70 depending on moon phase
Behavior
Jumps toward the nearest player. Large slimes split into 2–4 medium slimes when killed; medium split into 2–4 small slimes. Only small slimes deal damage (half a heart). Large and medium slimes make audible squelching sounds and can be heard from a distance.
